# HioMail > HioMail is an independent temporary email service for receiving verification codes, one-time sign-ups and short-lived messages without requiring registration. It lets users switch between a temporary address ending in @gmail.com and available Microsoft Outlook/Hotmail/Live addresses. HioMail is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or Microsoft. Message content in both free and long-term mailboxes is automatically deleted after six hours. Free addresses can be recycled after the documented inactivity period; long-term access keeps the address assignment but does not extend message retention. ## Main service - [HioMail English](https://hiomail.com/en/): Main temporary Gmail, Outlook and Hotmail service page in English. - [HioMail 中文](https://hiomail.com/zh/): Gmail、Outlook 和 Hotmail 临时邮箱中文主页,可接收验证码和一次性邮件。 ## Topic guides - [Email Privacy: Use your primary address more selectively](https://hiomail.com/en/email-privacy/): A practical guide to sharing less of your primary email address, separating sign-ups and reducing unnecessary exposure online. - [Temporary Email: separation without losing control](https://hiomail.com/en/temporary-email/): Learn when temporary email is useful, when it is risky, and how to choose between short-lived and recoverable private inboxes. - [Spam Protection starts before the first unwanted message](https://hiomail.com/en/spam-protection/): Reduce spam and marketing clutter by sharing your primary address less often and separating low-value sign-ups. - [Receive verification messages without sharing more than necessary](https://hiomail.com/en/verification-email/): A practical guide to receiving verification emails while limiting exposure of your primary inbox. ## Editorial guides - [All HioMail Guides](https://hiomail.com/en/blog/): Temporary email, verification, privacy and delivery troubleshooting. - [How HioMail Isolates Mailbox Access Between Browser Sessions](https://hiomail.com/en/blog/how-hiomail-isolates-mailbox-access-between-browser-sessions/): A first-party look at HioMail mailbox isolation: browser claims, recipient matching, provider switching, history access and the limits of email privacy. - [How HioMail Displays Verification Emails Safely](https://hiomail.com/en/blog/how-hiomail-displays-verification-emails-without-rendering-remote-html/): How HioMail converts email into safe readable text, extracts HTTP(S) links and verification codes, and why code detection is not sender verification. - [How HioMail Limits Automated Mailbox Harvesting](https://hiomail.com/en/blog/how-hiomail-limits-automated-mailbox-harvesting-without-blocking-inbox-refresh/): Why HioMail treats new-address creation differently from inbox refresh and uses layered abuse limits to protect capacity without blocking normal mail checks. - [How HioMail Protects Recovery Keys and Long-Term Access](https://hiomail.com/en/blog/how-hiomail-protects-recovery-keys-and-long-term-mailbox-access/): What a HioMail Recovery Key restores, why normal recovery uses a one-way hash, how purchase delivery is made recoverable, and what the key cannot recover. - [How HioMail Handles Source Mailbox Health and Capacity](https://hiomail.com/en/blog/how-hiomail-handles-source-mailbox-health-and-address-capacity/): How HioMail keeps source mailboxes healthy, separates new-address allocation from receiving, preserves reserve capacity and handles temporary provider failures. - [Why Verification Emails Are Delayed and What to Check First](https://hiomail.com/en/blog/why-verification-emails-are-delayed/): Verification emails can be delayed by sender queues, filtering, address handling or inbox refresh timing.
